Lead Hazard Reduction & Healthy Home Program

The County of Bergen- Lead Hazard Reduction and Healthy Home Program has funding available for qualified Bergen County residents. This grant can remove old windows, old doors, door jambs and any peeling lead paint. The goal of the program is to provide Lead- Safe housing and Home Repairs at no cost. Homeowners and Tenants can apply to this program. The following are eligibility criteria:

1. Construction Year; property built prior to 1978

2. Occupancy: Child under 6 year old residing or spending significant time at the property

3. Owner occupied or tenant occupied property

4. Pregnant woman

5. At or below 80% median income
